The first death from smallpox in the county took place at New Richmond last week. The victim was a young man named Harriman.

Tuesday at midnight at his home in New Richmond occurred the death of James P. Harriman, from smallpox. Mr. Harriman was 38 years old and leaves a wife and two sons, all of whom had had the disease and recovered. The funeral occurred Wednesday at 10 o’clock. -s
